Family & Farm Programs
Steckle Heritage Farm is dedicated to educating children and youth about the importance of agriculture, caring for animals and respecting the environment. From Preschool to teens, we have programs that help children learn essential living skills such as planting, harvesting as well as cooking food from the farm, feeding and caring for farm animals as well as leadership skills in a hands-on heritage farm environment. Little Farmers : Parent (or Caregiver) and Child program for ages 2 to 5, runs in 7-8 week sessions in the Spring, Summer and Fall. 1.5 hrs
Books & Cooks: Ages 3 and up (with Parent). A fun new time to come to the farm and do activities centred around a book! We will cook something from the book, do and activity and have a great time! 1 hr
Rise & Shine with the Animals: Ages to 6 to 9 on Saturday’s 9 to 10am
Session 1: May 5, 12, 26 Session 2: June 2, 9, 16, 23 Session 3: September 8, 15, 22, 29
Session 4: 6, 13, 20, 27

Agriventure Summer Day Camps: Fun for everyone!
- If your child is entering SK or Grade 1, you can register your child in 1/2 Day Agriventure!
- If your child has completed SK, please register your child in Agriventure Jr.!
- If your child has finished Grade 1 to 6, Agriventure Day Camp is for them!
L.I.T’s : For youth who have completed Gr. 6, 7 or 8,
This is a chance for youth to join us to gain Leadership experience, learn how to be a good volunteer and set goals. (LIT’s) who have done one or more years of the program and are entering Grade 9 can participate as Jr Leaders!
For young adults (Grade 9+) looking to gain volunteer hours, job experience and a reference! Spend 2 weeks with us, take on a leadership role (guided by our staff) and earn up to 80 hrs of volunteer time!
