Steckle Farm

The J. Steckle Heritage Homestead is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to providing agricultural, environmental and cultural programs to children and families in the Region of Waterloo.

Settled in 1833 and designated a heritage property by the City of Kitchener, the J. Steckle Heritage Homestead is a unique working farm and education centre dedicated to providing a combination of hands-on farm experience and educational programming to children and their families. Our program participants explore sustainable agricultural practices, discover world cultures and gain an appreciation for environmental stewardship and healthy lifestyles.

This website is designed to provide information about the programs and events offered at the J. Steckle Heritage Homestead.

Access to the property is program based.  The general public is not permitted on the property.  Thank you for your consideration.
